What's new?!

What are some of the major happenings in the past year?

Namely:

  • I'm the proud owner of my 1st ever pet dog - Sushi. She is just too adorable to resist. Well of coz, undeniably annoying at times. Still, she is the lover man! She's a chihuahua x maltese, 1 year old now. Gosh! Can't believe that I finally got myself a puppy. Thanks to my mum for insisting!
  • Job changed. Finally, a new jump start in my career cycle. A new challenge, new set of difficulties awaiting, however, I am still looking forward to it!
  • Oh well, I guess Facebook is something new as well. At least it was not a 'hit' thing when I stopped blogging dated here. Man! All this social networking sites are growing fast and leaving fast. What's up next?!!!

Oh My God!!!

Oh My God!!! That's the only phrase I can shout out while typing these words here.

How long have I stopped blogging here? What made me stopped ya?!! I started this blog when I was still studying happily in Melbourne. Adding a new post to this circle was once my favorite past time. A must do thingy!!! It was also a tool for friends outside Melbourne to catch hold of me. It does feels funny when I look back at the post I wrote. Memories just came pouring down my head.

Well, blogging is such the 'in' thing now. Guess what, I was 'in' enough to start it 2-3 years back. Please excuse me if I have abandoned/neglected this blog for such a long time!!! I hope to gather my thought back and post something here on a regular basis.

Time to notify my buddies about the reopen of 'My Circle'. Adios! I"ll be back soon for another post. Mark my words! Hohoho... :)

Serendipity

Serendipity. One of my favorite words.

A fortunate accident. How often do one come across a fortunate accident? In terms of fate? A relationship? Or your life?

Was clearing my dvd collections and found this movie - Serendipity. Nearly forgotten that it's one of my favorite movies. It was years back since I first watch it, love it at first watch, but didn't really feel the emotions in it. Decided to watch it again. This time, I feel it. Not a movie with huge climax or so, but sometimes it's the simplicity and relation of the story that adds credit to it.

How many lucky discoveries have I come across? Have I ever appreciate them? Or did I just let another opportunity slip through my fingers? It's so true that sometimes one just indulge in their own world, without realising how many fortunate accidents they have let go of. Ask me now, I can tell you in a click.

Fate. I rely on this word very much. To the extreme side, I'm willing to just gaze through the crystal ball to determine my future. In other words, I might lose my own thoughts at times. The word is so strong, so true, till I doubt whether I'm making the right decision at times.

Don't worry. I'm in all good condition now. Just thought I should record a post here to remind myself of my current feelings on this partucular day.

However, I'm facing different blues now. Doing my best to overcome them. Who knows, a lucky discovery might be awaiting me.

Yokoso! Japan

I enjoyed it when I know everytime I returned from a foreign country, I'll have this new sets of realisation and discoveries which I find useful to shape me into a better person.

I thought I should blog about my trip while it's still fresh and wakey in my mind. Landed yesterday, cleared my stuff, admiring them, reminiscing the Nihon culture. My previous trip to Japan was five years ago, that time I did not pay attention to any other htings in Japan except for Gameboys and MD Walkman. I don't even talk about fashion and clothings five years ago. But five years later, I finally extended my sights. There are three main things I need to specifically mention about my experiences in Japan. So, please bear wih me for the next couple of minutes.

1. The people
No doubt, Japan gathers the trendiest, funkiest, coolest, ...etc etc... Basically almost every adjective can be use to describe the people walking on Tokyo streets. All of them look so beautiful, the guys, the girls, everyone has its own character. You'll never find a repetition of clothing in 20 people you've walked pass. From top to toe, it's all accessorized. The streets are full packed with people. Lucky it was winter (so damn cold), if it's summer, I think the 'summer scent' will kill me.

2. The manners
I have to give a high distinction for their manners. Maybe a A+++ instead. I know that they are well-mannered. But I've never thought they could go to such extreme, so well-mannered until I felt scared by them. An accidental eye contact with a stranger would trigger them to greet you and bow to you. Not a common bow, but a full 90 degrees, half circle bow!!! =.=" Buy the slightest thing from a shop, the shopkeeper would send you out the door, arigato to you, their signature bow of course, and it will continue until they are sure that you're out of their sight. Orelse, they'll just freeze in the position.

3. Tokyo itself
Everywhere is shopping. They really fully utilised each and every inch of their land. So much things to see till mum and I were lost in streets. The locals actually que up half an hour earlier, waiting for shops to open. I hardly see any non-locals in Tokyo. People are buying something every minute. Most of their spenders are locals. I think the number of people I see carrying Gucci and LV bags are enough to suffocate me =.=" I guess it's their way of pampering themself after a long day at work.

4. The food
For the past week, I think I've consumed less than a teaspoon of oil. Ate a lot of seaweed products, and drank mostly greentea. I feel healthy! Sushi? You must be kidding! On average, I eat 10 pieces everyday. So fresh, cheap, different, and most important, I love it! And I love their breakfast @ hotel. Eating almost the same thing everyday, but still, I was never sick of it.

The Japanese are in such a fast pace. The advancement of the country led their people into a non-stop routine. They stand while eating, takes them less than 5 minutes to finish their meal, and walk out. Mum was saying she is already a fast-eater, but the Japanese are even faster. Waste no time!

Asked me whether I enjoy shopping in Japan or Hong Kong? I would say Hong Kong. Reason being: In Hong Kong, I can buy things easier, as in the price of it. At least of the five things I see in Hong Kong, I might have the cash to buy all five of it. But in Japan, I might not even buy one. That's how expensive it is. Did not buy much actually, as I need to choose carefully, choose the best. Heck! Everything is so nice. Before picking up something, I need to first take out my calculator. It was my best friend throughout the trip! Mum bought a bag, worth RM3000, it's not LV, Gucci, Hermes or any other brand. It's just a brand in Japan, gosh! I cannot understand her. But same goes to her, she wouldn't be able to understand why we would buy a plaine tee shirt for RM 200... =,=

I think I'm obssessed with their cosmetics. They are much cheaper compare to the ones I bought in HK and Singapore. Same brand of coz. Almost wanted to buy the whole shelf off. Japan made cosmetics are always cheaper. Was overjoyed to see DHC selling so cheap there. They have so many brands till I can't even differentiate which one I just saw.

I'm looking forward to visit Japan again with friends instead. I think it would be very fun! Oh ya, one of the hotel receptionists in Japan stole my heart. Hohoho..she is so so so nice and adorable!

Ps: Can't be blogging every places I went. Will do it by photos instead, will try to use the best descriptions.

What a world!

Ooooohhh~~~

First day of work was a torture to me. I was so not in the mood of working, and felt extremely down when I started work on Sunday night. But somehow, I managed to get over it and things are back to normal now. Maybe because I'm counting down to my Japan trip in two days time!!! Yay!!! I'm so excited about it, my mind is full of the manga scenes, harajuku girls, takashimaya, and most important, the Ghibli Musuem!!! Cash is the most important factor when you're in Japan!!!

Guess what, I bumped into my high school lover yesterday! Hahahahhaha... I was just talking about him with friends last week and was wondering, since we parted, we have never bump into each other before. How long was that? Mmm, almost seven years. I saw him in a complex, can't believe my eyes when I saw him. I didn't identify myself though. I was in this knitting shop and saw him walked pass a few times. Ok la, have to admit that my heart was beating quite fast when I saw him. Unexpected ok. It's just the feeling of meeting an old friend (Yah right!). And didn't walk up to him because I was a bit slumber yesterday, as in my look and all. HHAHAHAHAHA... So lame! But like some typical girls, you want to look purrfect in front of your ex-lover right?!!! HAHHAHAHAHA... Heard from my friend that he's now the father of a 2 year old girl. Hahahhaha...time flies yah...

Still remember him as a sweet-talker. You know ler, high school lover, it's all about having this familiar crush which you and I had. I think I was attracted to him mainly because he was good in sports. He was one of the top athletes in school. Hahahahhaha...can't help it! Well, I guess if I ever bump into him again, I'll laugh and call him, "Hi dadie!!!" ;p

It's time for me to make decision again. Career decision. Prediction says I need to grab on to opportunity and appreciate every single moment to show management my abilities. Hmmm...I wonder...

The Holiday

My holiday is drawing to an end soon. Two more days and I'll be back to my working position. I wonder, why does holidays always end fast. It was as though I just started my holiday. Last week, I was full of anticipation. Coz I know this new year I have heaps of activities, waiting for me to complete. And now, it's all done!

Kickstarted the holiday with some catching up session. Treated Tiff to Mandarin Oriental's Wasabi as her birthday dinner. Wasabi is still my no. 1 favorite japanese restaurant. Glad that she like it. Comes to think of it, I'm happy coz it's my first time treating her with my own salary. It somehow feels good. Of coz, Irene was there for the dinner as well. I think we were a little too noisy that night.

New year was not as festive to me this year. Streets are quiet, less traffic for sure. But the atmosphere was quite different. At least for me it looks a bit quiet. New year is the season of visiting and catching up. Almost every night of my dinner was spent with my grandparents and relatives. Somehow it's a custom/tradition to have dinner with family members. Aunties and uncles would start saying: 'Wow, you looked different now. Compared to 10 years ago...(Isn't that a norm?!!)', 'Getting prettier ya','Where's your boyfriend? Still the same one? (=.="")'

Watched two movies during the new year period. 'The Holiday' and 'Twins Mission'. Aahhh, finally two ticks off my movie list. The holiday was good though. Cc, Brandon, Irene and I watched it together. I thought the combination was quite funny though. Knowing how much Cc 'love' all these lovey-duvey movies. I think the movie gave him some hints on how to manage a relationship. Oooohhh...~~~ As usual, Cameron Diaz is gorgeous. Love is not just a straight line, think of the alternatives, there's always paths for you to walk on.

Twins Mission was just an average movie. Mainly because I think there's some problem with the story itself. And I didn't quite like the color of the movie, as in the production part of it. I thought the movie could have been more interesting.

Currently anticipating tonight's Astro Fiesta. It's my first year attending, obviously! Oooohhh~~~

Also, anticipating my coming Japan trip next week! WoooooHOoooo...~~~LALALA...
