The Holiday

My holiday is drawing to an end soon. Two more days and I'll be back to my working position. I wonder, why does holidays always end fast. It was as though I just started my holiday. Last week, I was full of anticipation. Coz I know this new year I have heaps of activities, waiting for me to complete. And now, it's all done!

Kickstarted the holiday with some catching up session. Treated Tiff to Mandarin Oriental's Wasabi as her birthday dinner. Wasabi is still my no. 1 favorite japanese restaurant. Glad that she like it. Comes to think of it, I'm happy coz it's my first time treating her with my own salary. It somehow feels good. Of coz, Irene was there for the dinner as well. I think we were a little too noisy that night.

New year was not as festive to me this year. Streets are quiet, less traffic for sure. But the atmosphere was quite different. At least for me it looks a bit quiet. New year is the season of visiting and catching up. Almost every night of my dinner was spent with my grandparents and relatives. Somehow it's a custom/tradition to have dinner with family members. Aunties and uncles would start saying: 'Wow, you looked different now. Compared to 10 years ago...(Isn't that a norm?!!)', 'Getting prettier ya','Where's your boyfriend? Still the same one? (=.="")'

Watched two movies during the new year period. 'The Holiday' and 'Twins Mission'. Aahhh, finally two ticks off my movie list. The holiday was good though. Cc, Brandon, Irene and I watched it together. I thought the combination was quite funny though. Knowing how much Cc 'love' all these lovey-duvey movies. I think the movie gave him some hints on how to manage a relationship. Oooohhh...~~~ As usual, Cameron Diaz is gorgeous. Love is not just a straight line, think of the alternatives, there's always paths for you to walk on.

Twins Mission was just an average movie. Mainly because I think there's some problem with the story itself. And I didn't quite like the color of the movie, as in the production part of it. I thought the movie could have been more interesting.

Currently anticipating tonight's Astro Fiesta. It's my first year attending, obviously! Oooohhh~~~

Also, anticipating my coming Japan trip next week! WoooooHOoooo...~~~LALALA...

Bam!

I've been so eager to post something up here everytime I'm in front of the computer. But somehow, my mental strength was not strong enough to actually convince myself to type. Just like most of you here, work has conquered my soul and body. What I appreciate most now is sleeping time. The battle between work and sleep has become a major event in my life almost everyday.

What makes up for the dreadful day is always seeing and talking to the people I adored most. Need not frequent meet ups to keep the thread strong. I tried to maintain an after work chat with dear everyday. I named it 'my comforting call'. Hearing what he said, even the lamest joke cracks up a big laugh. Yes, Pumpkin's been saying she can't stand us anymore, after soooo long. It's a love and hate thing between us. Love him, yet hate him everytime he irritates me.

Another call is of coz from my childhood all time fav. cartoon- Addam's Family beloved darling. She need not say much, all she has to do is just laugh out loud to make my day. What more when you know there's always this special someone who is constantly finding time to meet up despite the tight schedule of work she has. Appreciate your friends guys, tell them you love them. (Luckily I always say it to you! *wink*) Hanah hanah, I know you won't agree.

I'm proud of myself for breaking the ice today. It's hard for me u know, however, there should always be someone to take the first step out. Colleagues? I love some of them. Coz I'm not too familiar with the other some of them. Haven't even manage to remember all their names. So many of them ok. But for those who I love, they are cool, get along well, and adds color to my work life.

Great! The ultimate all time cool, charismatic, and heavyweight Richie is in town! Gosh, no wonder I can feel the impact. And we're going to meet him. Finally, all of us are back. Going to meet Richie, Ant, and Pumpkin tomorrow.

Adam, Adam, you passed! You're more 'thirsty' than I expected. Keep up the good work, you have my support and backup. More to come... Likewise, cc passed your assessment too! (Cannot stand you, like dat also wana include the cc in...Fud Hao!!!)

Currently eager to watch:

  1. The Holiday (Top of my list!!!)
  2. Music and Lyrics (Anticipating!!)
  3. Blood Diamond
  4. Dreamgirls
  5. Twins Mission
  6. Happy Birthday
  7. Protege

I know! I know! I'm hopeless with movies lately, haven't been to the cinema for quite some time. Forgive me!
