My 21st Birthday
My once in a lifetime 21 year old celebration turned out to be a really special and unforgettable day for me!I am touched.I am too happy.And I am feeling too loved and pampered by my friends!This birthday is definitely one of my best and most unforgettable celebration..*double WINK*I can still feel the level of excitement when I'm typing now.Looking at all the things in front of me...
Danger:Readers might have the risk of getting tired eyes after reading this entry.Because it's a really long one!!!But I have to spell out everything in detail.Read at your own risk!!!
Kicked off with a nice dinner at South Yarra on Monday with the whole gang.Thanks to all of them as some were really sweet and nice to attend the dinner,left aside their assignments and high fever.Was really touched when they brought out the cake and Val arrived just on time.This girl came late and all of us was wondering what happened to her.Guess what?!!She went around to look for flowers and there I go,my first bouquet of roses this year.Awwww,isn't she sweet??Thanks ya dear!After the dinner,we(Sze,Richie,Val,Irene and Franco) went to 'Cookie' for a drink.It's actually one of my fav bars in Melbourne.Anyway,we ordered a few types of cocktail from this very hot guy(I think),and spent time chatting and playing around for 2 hours.I was alreay half-sober by the time we reached home.It was around 11.30 and they count down to 12 am and *YAY* All of them wished me by lying on top of me-Pancake Stack!That's the heaviest pancake stack i've ever experienced.But anyway,Thank You Guys!!!
The fun continues...
Yesterday,whichwas the actual day of my birthday,woke up quite early coz Irene asked me out for breakfast.Just before that,Val left early for work and when I woke up,i saw all this small notes aorund the house asking me to collect all 21 pieces of notes.Again,it's from Val.She wrote some message on every piece of paper and it comes up to 21 pieces.Nice!But till now,I only have 12 pieces with me,9 more hiding around the house.Then,Irene came right on the dot and I saw her holding a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate in her hand.Honestly,I din know what to say.All I can do is to give her a real tight hug.Had a warm and nice bacon and egg breakfast with her and spent the rest of the hours taking photos and visited one of the catholic church in Melbourne,which we wanted to go for long.Sometimes,you just don't need to think of extra interesting activities to make the day happier or so.All u need is a good company beside.Then,went back to the city at around 1.30 to meet up with Franco and Sze coz they were having this secretive plan to bring me to somewhere.True enough,we came to this special cafe with lots of antiques in it.Nice environment with great friends,but not the waitress definitely...Walked around for a little while and headed back to the city to buy food for dinner at Franco's house.It's a hot pot feast!!!huahuahua...
All of us were so tired but still they were sweet enough to prepare everything without having me to worry about.I went back home to sleep until they called and allowed me to go up to his house.I knew something was going to happen because that was what we did for Irene's bday,but trust me,no matter how much u know there will be a surprise,u won't be able to guess it right.
When I opened the door and walked in,with all the background music,the place looked different.I saw all this old photos of mine sticked on the wall all the way from the entrance to the end of the corridor.I saw my most lame photos right up to my latest photos with the gang.Can't believe they even put chuan's and my photo in.The house was decorated with balloons,banners and crepe papers.Our pretty Sze bought me a champagne coz she said it's necessary for me to pop the champagne.WooHoooo...And she even make her own cocktail for us.I used to not like to talk about the pressies I received coz I think it's personal,but for this year,I really have to spell each and everything out.Coz I'm really tooo touched by what they did for me!!!
Enjoyed the hot pot so much and after that,it's the highlight of the day turn.I was told to sit down queitly and listen to Franco's speech.He wished me and said lotsa funny stuff.He calls it a ceremony.After blowing the candle and cut the cake,the fun begins.The first surprise was Val's piggy card!!!She took the time and effort to make a real big piggy card with their wishes on.It's really creative and I definitely love it!!!
Then,it was Irene's turn to give me the present on behalf of the gang.It was something I wanted for years-Swarovski Puzzle Piece.I was damn stunned when i saw it coz i din expect them to buy this present.I thought that's the end, but NO!!!You thought it will be so simple??!!NO!!!They just won't let me breathe and wont let the surprises stop.I was already very touched by their present,but when Franco took out this present and said it was from Josephine(my foundation friend + idol of mine),I nearly cried.Coz she's a busy girl,but still she took the time to meet up with Franco to passed him the pressie.And Franco as well is so busy with his own assignments,still he squeezed his time for me.
Then,he continued by taking out another present.And this time,he said it was from the two most important people in my list...Scratching my head to think who...I can't believe it when he said it was from chee chuan and his sister michelle.He actually contacted both of them and asked discussed with them to do something for me.It's a card made by chuan and michelle and Franco printed it off.I cried,but of coz no one noticed it coz i was keeping my head down,controlling all my tears.I was really really touched!!!They are still trying to test my ability to hold back my tears.
The last surprise was this cd they made for me.What's so special about this cd?VERY SPECIAL!!!Coz each of them sang a song and they recorded in it.The singers are namely: Franco,Cookie,Scoty,Yakult,Miuky,Richie and the very cool guitarist Nelson.Each of them sang a song for me,of coz one of the songs was by Twins...ahahhahaha...Franco and Nelson even changed the lyrics.And damn it,the songs are damn touching.I don't even dare to look straight into their eyes when they were playing the song,i think i'll cry out loud.Last but not least,thank you Sze for making the mango pudding...It's superbly nice!!!
That's the end of my birthday report.I felt so loved and pampered!!!You all make a difference to this special day and i can't think of a word to describe how touched i felt!!!Just in case you want to know,I nvr once felt like crying on my birthday except for this year...I'm still in yesterday's damn high feeling.And i'm proud to say i have a bunch of super duper loving and happening friends!!!It will definitely be my best birthdays!!!
A million dollar present cannot beat the presents I received yesterday.The cards,the efforts,the cd...and most of all,the FRIENDS i have!!!There's no reason for me to ask for more when I already have all this great friends standing beside me whenever i need them...
