The Corporate World
Phew~~~Now I truly understand how the social life in a corporate world works...And it was until today I saw the importance of mum in the company...
Today is the Multi Purpose Group's 37th Annual dinner @ Flamingo Hotel. Magnum as one of the hosts as well. The group appointed Phantom Event Company as the organiser and I was given a chance to work with them throughout the event. Been going to e hotel for rehearse and shooting as there were six groups of staff performance and of coz, the performance by Magnum Group is one of the highlights. Knowing how important and big is the dinner, there are just so many things to run through the list.
The Phantom people are really nice and maybe it was partly because of my mum's pr skills, the person in charge gave me a lot of work to do. Since my mum said do not hesitate to scold or give her work to do...=.= Good practice!!!
The theme was 'Colours of Life'...Guests and vips came w their best dresse. Gawd!Mum spent almost 800 dollars for two pieces of tailor made dress(only the workmanship)... =.= As usual, she was the most colorful of all until the directors of Magnum insisted on not letting her to participate in the Best Dress title. She was the judge instead. Cool huh...!!! And also because she received her 20 years long service award from the company and act as the role of queen in the performance. WOooooWW!!! I have to see she looked really classy and superb today. Learning from her, learning from her...
Why did I say she's important in the company? Coz I saw how all the board of directors and important people trusted her. The first person to look for when they arrived was Connie Woo. They just love to social with her and love her colors. Even the grumpiest financial controller of the company love her. Well I guess this is what mum always told me to be colorful...She was sitted right behind the vip's table. From the control room I saw one after one they cheers her and saw how she handle all the scenarios. One glass after another. I'm telling you now, she can really drink and the mc of the night is really funny and good!!!
I have to thank the Phantom people for constantly telling me : 'Girl, you better be prepared to work every day and night without rest in the future...It's really tough and no one is there to spoonfeed you...Are you prepared?' Yes, I get it!!! (The Phantom people are really cool...Especially the girls...huahuahua...But seriously, the way they work and sort out things are really professional...)
My conclusion is: The corporate world is really complicated. Looking at the different faces when they see different bosses. Well, tt's how it looks like and I'm joining them soon...
