Beauty or Beast?
Finally watched my first movie in theatre after a month back home. Went to watched 'King Kong' with Howch today @ Imax Theatre Times Square. Was supposed to watch Narnia instead, but as usual Mid Valley is always full packed with people so we detoured to Times Square. 15 bucks for Imax, whereas in Melbourne I'm paying 10 dollars aussie for a normal screen cinema.
Thanks to Howch for the tics I got to enjoy the movie with super great sound and graphics. The movie itself was three hours long but like Howch said, it didn't make me felt like it. The movie was quite touching in some ways. This was my first Peter Jackson produced movie and now I see why he's so successful. Needless to mention, the graphics itself adds a lot of credit to the movie. As for the storyline, Howch told me it was similar to the first King Kong. Anyway, this was my first King Kong movie and I think they narrated the relationship between Anne as the beauty, and Kong as the beast in the story really well. Everything single action and gesture was so detail. No need for any dialogues between them.
The part where I like the most was Naomi Watts expression. The way she look at the 'ape', her eyes, so attractive and beautiful. The funny part was I've never seen a T-Rex battling against a King Kong and gawd, some of the scenes were quite disgusting. A good and worth watching movie though. I wonder in real life, is it the beauty who's controlling the beast or the beast is falling into the trap without thinking twice...
My rate: 8/10
Currently anticipating: Memoirs of Geisha, A Chinese Tall Story, The Promise and Superman. ^^
